Console sales dips 20 per cent

According to the May sales results in the US, hardware sales are plummeting.

While software sales managed to climb 4 per cent, on the back of strong sales of Take 2 Interactive’s Red Dead Redemption and Nintendo’s Super Mario Galaxy, hardware sales dipped down 20 per cent to $241.5 million.

The Nintendo DS remained the strongest selling piece of hardware, followed by the Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3. PSP came in in last place.
