Leipzig games convention bigger than in 2009

The Games Convention Online, held at Leipzig, is shaping up to be a success, with 32 exhibitors signed up.

The event will run from 8 to 10 July, and will feature exhibitors from Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Germany, Israel, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Taiwan and the USA. This number is up from 2009, with just five nations represented.

The convention is a business and networking forum. Exhibitors include publishers, developers and service providers such as Ambergames, Beijing Baiyou Huitong Network Technology Co. Ltd., Bigpoint, CPMstar, Electrotank Inc., Gamigo, Greentube, MO Group, Partnertrans, Playdom, SevenGames, Sometrics, SupersonicAds, Travian, Two-Pi Team, V-Gate, Wayi International Digital Entertainment and XS Software.

In a release, strategy director, Silvana Kuerschner, said "The GCO is the platform for the online and mobile games industry. This is reflected in the confirmations from exhibiting companies, the participation so far in Business Matching and the high-quality speakers for the Business Talks.”
