Development studio, Firaxis, is the latest company to be struck by a staff downsizing.
Around 20 staff members were made redundant from the studio behind the popular Civilisation series however the layoffs would have no effect on, Firaxis owner, 2K, claimed it would not impact on the quality of the upcoming Sid Meier’s Civilisation V and Civilisation Network on Facebook.
According to Kotaku, the affected positions include quality assurance, interface art, animators, programmers and designers.
Sid Meier himself remains with the studio.
