The interest in games-as-art grows, with the Queensland University of Technology's new art gallery, The Block, featuring its first machinima collection.
Machinima is the process of making films using existing video game assets. The QUT exhibit aims to chart the history of the combination of film and video games through 60 titles.
Content on show include works from Rooster Teeth (the group behind the popular Red vs Blue machinima), and United Rangers Cinema's 1996 piece, Diary of a Camper.
Admission is free, and open from July 20 to August 7.
