In the most recent example of censorship gone crazy, calls have been made for EA's upcoming Medal of Honor game to be banned, for allowing players to play as the Taliban.
The game, due for an October release, takes place during the Afghanistan war. According to a report on One India, that ability has led to British Defence Secretary, Liam Fox, calling for a ban on the video game.
"It's shocking someone would think it acceptable to recreate the acts of the Taliban," said an apparently outraged Fox.
Obviously Mr Fox hasn't watched many movies, read many books or seen many photographs or works of art, since there are many depictions of all kinds of wartime horrors being depicted in art through history.
But, given the local climate towards games and censorship, one only has to wonder and the level of controversy that will hit once the game is released locally.
